Expanding its premium trim line, GMC is adding a new Acadia Denali model for 2011. Marked with unique exterior cues and an upgraded interior, the Acadia Denali will stand at the top of the Acadia line in both price and luxury.

The exterior is defined with the signature Denali chrome honeycomb grilles and monotone paint, which does away with the lower cladding found on lesser Acadia trims. Unique six-spoke 20-inch wheels are finished in bright chrome, and feature black chrome inserts. High-intensity-discharge headlights are standard, as are unique chrome dual exhaust tips.

Stepping inside the high-end Acadia, chrome sill plates feature a lighted Denali logo. Heated and cooled perforated leather seats with matching door inserts are standard, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel is accented with real mahogany wood trim. The dual “SkyScape” sunroof is also included as standard equipment, along with a head-up display for the driver. Passengers should also notice a calmer cabin, with GMC adding a laminated windshield and triple door seals to make the Denali quieter than other Acadias.

The Acadia Denali will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive forms, with your choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating. The familiar 288-hp 3.6-liter V-6 continues as the only engine. Five colors -- red, black, silver, and two whites -- will be offered. GMC hasn’t mentioned pricing yet, but sales begin in fall of 2010 as a 2011 model.
